Harper, Victoria

Victoria Harper was in born in Vancouver in 1979. Her artist career began in the 1990’s when she helped her father, Charles Harper, carve three large totem poles for his nation. They now stand at the Stoney Creek reserve.

In 1999 she took a stone setting course and then began the process of learning to draw in the Northwest Coast style. With the help of her family she began carving silver and gold Jewellery. Victoria is one of very few female Jewellery artists, known for her exceptional attention to detail and quality.

In the last number of years, Victoria has taken her teachings and her skills and made a niche for herself in the local and international markets.
