Harrison Martin is an emerging artist from the Tsimshian and Nisga’a nations, along the Skeena and Nass rivers in the northern pacific of British Columbia. Harrison began professionally carving in 2021 while learning under Rande Cook for a year. After learning the basics skills needed for painting and carving, Harrison spent time working in his own studio. Experimenting with colours and form line while learning how to manage his own workshop and business. Harrison is currently enrolled in Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art. His goal is to visit with, learn from and work under a variety of artists to see how techniques and styles vary to expand his practice. 

Harrison’s work can be found in Vancouver, Victoria, and Seattle WA as well as in private collections.
