Williams, Dion

Dion Williams was born in 1980 in Skidegate on Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Island), British Columbia and belongs to the Raven clan.

Dion’s godfather, Wayne Wilson introduced him to carving at the age of 24 and he has acquired further knowledge and training from his brother, Greg Williams, and his cousin, Jim Edenshaw.

While he has gained wide recognition for his Jewellery, Dion is also a proficient weaver. He has also created several limited edition prints. Dion is involved in many aspects of his culture including singing, dancing and fishing.
