Clifton Ridley is a Tsimshian artist born 1948 in the coastal village of Hartley Bay, BC to the Eagle Clan. Having been a fisherman most of his life, Ridley’s love of the sea is reflected in both his art and lifestyle.
He is a graduate of the Gitanmaax School of Northwest Coast Indian Art and Design in Hazelton, BC and began carving in the mid 1970’s.
Ridley works in wood, gold, and silver, and as well creates silkscreen prints. His art has been sold across Canada and internationally.
