Corey Larocque

Heritage — Cree/Haida/Gitksan

Corey Larocque was born in Dawson Creek, British Columbia in July, 1982 to parents of Cree, Gitskan and Haida Nations.

Inspired by the traditional and contemporary artwork of prominent Vancouver Island artists, such as Russell Smith and Rande Cook, Corey started painting and carving masks in 2004. He has worked and learned with celebrated Kwakwaka'wakw carvers Beau Dick and Wayne Alfred.

In recent years, he has started to create beautiful silver and copper jewellery that reflects his unique style and talents.
